Jack Kearney

Jack B KearneyHi I'm Jack B Kearney. I am a Dublin based designer and woodturner. I create stunningly unique handcrafted lamps, using a combination of glass, hardwood and seashells from Ireland and beyond.

Many of my individual, eye catching lamps are themed on Irish lighthouses, sea beacons and buoys. The signature lamp of this collection is themed on Fastnet Rock light house, which is found off the southern coast of Ireland.

Each piece shown here is unique and original due to the wide variety of seashells used in its creation.  A range of designs and sizes are available for purchase, and commissions are always welcomed.

Some items on display may not currently be available for sale, but if you wish to obtain a similar piece, please contact me at info@jbklamps.com

More about me

I am a member of the Dublin chapter of the Irish Woodturners' Guild and also registered with the Craft Council of Ireland. I also demonstrate at various Guild events. Click here to see account of a recent demonstration.

I recently won best stand at the Dalkey Castle Winter craft fair.

All the seashells used in the making of the lamps are sourced in compliance with the rules of the Geneva Convention on C.I.T.E.S. (Certificate for Trade in Endangered Species).

The wood available for use is rescued, recycled or reused from various ethical sources and areas and includes beech, walnut oak, mahogany, teak, ash and many others, as requested.
